Elinext Group Is Engaged With Samsung Smart TV Apps Development

Elinext Group, an alliance of custom software development companies, has hosted a presentation devoted to Samsung’s Smart TVs. This meeting is the initiative of the company’s senior management to streamline its competences with the IT market developments.

Elinext Group, an alliance of custom software development companies working to deliver software solutions and consulting services to businesses worldwide, has held a presentation devoted to Samsung’s Smart TVs. These devices are capable of accessing the Internet, and can be used to download and install applications, surf the web and more.

Alexander Zhuk, Senior Software Engineer at Elinext Mobile Department and the speaker, has pointed out the main technical features of the Smart TV platform to the audience. 

Samsung Smart TV is a web-based application running on an application engine, installed on digital TVs connected to the Internet. Smart TV applications are special web pages that are implemented on a web browser and run on a TV screen. Viewing an application on the TV screen is similar to viewing web pages using a web browser on a computer. Nowadays Samsung occupies the dominant position on the smart TV market. Moreover, the share of Internet-connected is forecast to increase significantly in the next several years.”Samsung’s Smart Hub is a simple customizable menu system that allows the user to effectively deal with the digital content. Users can search for movies, shows and videos via online services and across connected devices, browse the web from the TV, and access a wide range of applications from Samsung Apps”, reported Zhuk. Technologies, used in Samsung’s Smart TV platform, include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and Flash. Samsung Smart TV SDK supports HTML5.

The presentation proved to be productive, and during the questions & answers part of the meeting the managers debated on how the company can best apply its expertise to deliver effective solutions to the existing customers and prospects.
