April 27, 2012. Elinext Group, an alliance of custom software development companies working to deliver software solutions and consulting services to businesses worldwide, has held a presentation devoted to Samsung’s Smart TVs. These devices are capable of accessing the Internet, and can be used to download and install applications, surf the web and more.

Alexander Zhuk, Senior Software Engineer at Elinext Mobile Department and the speaker, has pointed out the main technical features of the Smart TV platform to the audience.

Samsung Smart TV is a web-based application running on an application engine, installed on digital TVs connected to the Internet. Users can search for movies, shows and videos via online services and across connected devices, browse the web from the TV, and access a wide range of applications from Samsung Apps”, reported Zhuk. Technologies, used in Samsung’s Smart TV platform, include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and Flash. Samsung Smart TV SDK supports HTML5.

The presentation proved to be productive, and during the questions & answers part of the meeting the managers debated on how the company can best apply its expertise to deliver effective solutions to the existing customers and prospects.
