Our trip to Web Summit 2024 in Lisbon was an absolute whirlwind! With 71,000+ attendees, 2,600 startups, and endless inspiration packed into four days at the Altice Arena and FIL. The energy was off the charts.
Right off the bat, the vibe was electric. We dove into sessions featuring tech rockstars like Jimmy Wales (yes, the Wikipedia folk) and Chelsea Manning, unpacking topics like AI ethics and digital security. One highlight? The incredible push toward sustainable tech—think AI solutions for energy efficiency and startups tackling the circular economy.
What really stuck with us were the ideas. From blockchain’s next big thing to AI-driven healthcare, there was so much innovation to take home. And the diversity? Incredible—44% women-led startups this year, showing the tech world is making real strides.
So yes, Web Summit wasn’t just an event; it was an experience. We left Lisbon inspired, caffeinated, and ready to take on new challenges with fresh perspectives.
