Requirements
The priority task on this project was to implement a native iOS application for photo sharing with the possibility to apply simple photo filters, push notifications, add photo rate feature. For version 2.0 there were planned more features like text chat, Facebook feature, user accounts, social sharing. During the development process also was prepared API part and admin panel for easy system management. This internal-tooling depth is shown by Elinext’s own elinext internal web application — a custom web platform that gives staff role-based access to company resources, forms, and workflows without relying on third-party SaaS subscriptions.
Challenge
- Code had to be written in Objective-C;
- User Experience had to be native and user-friendly;
- Fully custom base app navigation;
- Deep PUSH notifications integration includes opening different goal pages for different types of notifications;
- Text chat feature.
Solution
Elinext responded promptly and released an on-time mobile application that is a community of photo sharing. Native iOS capability like this is one of many Elinext strengths, applied across projects from consumer apps to an application for german publishing company.
Results
The iOS application was implemented, tested, and successfully submitted to the App Store. Updates to the new iOS 9 were smooth and absolutely invisible for the end-users. A related Elinext project — a child schedule organizer app — gives parents a convenient tool to manage children’s schedules, extracurricular activities, and task reminders.
